About the event

League of Women Voters of Massachusetts Releases New Episode “Freedom of the Press: A Cornerstone of Democracy” in the What Democracy Means in Everyday Life video series.

June 1, 2026/Boston, MA - The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts announces the release of a new episode, “Freedom of the Press: A Cornerstone of Democracy,” in the What Democracy Means in Everyday Life video series.

During the 2024 election, candidates and the media rarely explained how democracy impacts daily life, yet the topic remains a central part of the national conversation today. To bridge this gap, the LWVMA Voter Engagement Committee has sponsored six recorded programs in its What Democracy Means in Everyday Life series:

  1. Voter Engagement

  2. Intersectionality of Democracy and Immigration

  3. Civic Engagement & Technology
