Dear Members:
The end of 2023 is approaching quickly and it is time to renew your membership in
LWV-SC.
2023 has been a very busy year for the chapter; the expansion of the chapter
continues, and the programming has covered all areas of the League’s work.
Some highlights:
Three open meetings covering such topics as student poll workers, civics education in public schools, and the power of the vote.
Candidates night-meet and greet.
Two recruitment tables in Dartmouth and Fairhaven.
Voter services partnering with the Election Commissioner of New Bedford to
Student member of the chapter is the winner of the League’s Stub Hub gift card prize.
As 2024 arrives, so does another election year. We know that bad actors of all
persuasions will be out trying to disenfranchise voters, disrupt the voting process
and try to overturn the election outcome if they don’t like the result. Your support
is more necessary than ever!
