Residents of Mattapoisett will have the opportunity to hear from candidates on the Mattapoisett ballot at the League of Women Voters SouthCoast (LWVSC) Candidates Forum.
The event will occur on Wednesday, April 22, at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium at Old Hammondtown School, located at 20 Shaw St., Mattapoisett.
It has been confirmed that all candidates running for Mattapoisett Select Board will be in attendance.
Mr. Jack Eklund of the LWVSC will serve as moderator.
Candidates running unopposed will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves, give a brief overview of their qualifications, why they would be a “good fit” for the position, and their understanding of the scope of the office they are seeking.
Candidates running in contested races will be given the opportunity, in debate form, to explain their qualifications and lay out their understanding of the scope of the office they are seeking. Debates will be in accordance…
